PHD Family Welfare Foundation was set up by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry 40 years ago in 1986 as a charitable trust. The prime reason for establishing this foundation was to reach out to the needy and fulfill the social commitments of PHDCCI towards the upliftment of society.
The main focus areas of the Foundation include: health care, skill development training, education, support & care for specially-abled people, sanitation facilities for girls in schools, rehabilitation & relief during natural calamities, and self-defence training for women. The foundation also supports 100 orphanages and several old age homes in Delhi NCR by providing free health care and basic needs.
PHDFWF operates 27 skill development centers, with 16 in Delhi and 11 in tribal areas across India. Over 57,000 individuals have been trained in various skills, becoming self-sufficient (Atma Nirbhar). Currently, about 6,000 students study in these centers daily.
The foundation runs 12 mobile medical vans that treat around 1,000 patients daily in rural and resettlement areas. So far, approximately 18.7 lakh patients have been treated.
The foundation provides remedial classes for primary and senior students (classes 9–12) in subjects like English, Maths, and Science. Over 10,000 students have benefited from these programs.
PHDFWF organizes free one-month camps offering various activities and free health checkups for primary school children.
PHDFWF operates in Delhi NCR, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Assam, Odisha, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, and other regions during national calamities.
To develop deprived communities and provide quality social welfare services by strengthening education, health, and skills with a special focus on women and youth empowerment for sustainable development with dignity.
Anuradha Goel is an active philanthropist involved in social welfare activities for the last 40 years. Ms Goel is currently working as the Chairperson of the PHD Family Welfare Foundation and PHD Chamber’s Women and Child Development Committee directing public welfare programs which include medical care, health awareness, water conservation schemes, skill development and income generation in low income areas.
Ms Goel is President and founding member of St Stephen’s Hospital Patients Welfare Society, instrumental in raising funds and treatment for over 12000 juveniles. President Kiwanis Club of New Delhi involving herself in the implementation of educational income generation programs for women from resettlement areas for more than 20 years. She is also a member of Delhi Social Welfare Board, Vice chairperson of SCWEC India (SAARC Chamber Women Entrepreneur Council) and Governing Body Member of Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra and Shriram Centre for Performing Arts.
