PHDFWF ORGANISED ASTITVA SAMMAN 2026
The PHDFWF organised the 11th Women Astitva Samman and 10th Junior Astitva Samman 2026 on Friday, 16 January 2026, at the PHD House, New Delhi to honour inspiring women, young innovators and organizations working for social development and women empowerment. The programme started with the National Anthem followed by invocation and lamp lighting by Former Presidents, PHDCCI– Shri Suman Jyoti Khaitan, Shri Rajeev Talwar & Shri Sanjay Bhatia, Ms. Sangeeta Barooah Pisharoty, President, Press Club of India, Ms. Anuradha Goel, Chairperson PHDFWF, Mr. Ajay Chaudhry, IPS, Ms. Seema Khaitan, GB Member, PHDFWF and Shri Shamsher Kanwar, Jaquar Foundation.
Ms. Anuradha Goel, welcomed the awardees, guests and highlighted PHDFWF’s welfare initiatives. Shri Anil Gupta, Senior Vice President, PHDCCI delivered the presidential address, emphasizing women leadership and nurturing young talent. The Chief Guest for the programme was Her Excellency Ms. Marje Luup, Ambassador of Estonia and the Guest of Honour was Ms. Sangeeta Barooah Pisharoty, President, Press Club of India. The programme was graced by the esteemed presence of Ms. Meira Kumar, former Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Former Presidents PHDCCI – Shri Alok B. Shriram and Shri Gopal Jiwarajka.
Awardees were selected by an esteemed jury comprising Ms. Shashi Uban Tripathi, Former Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs(IFS Retd.), Padmashree Shovana Narayan Secretary (IAS, Retired), Government of India, Ms. Suneeta Trivedi, IPS (Retd.), Retired Member of Postal Services Board, Dr. Rashmi Singh, IAS, Secretary WCD, Govt. of NCT Delhi, Ms. Rajyashree Bajoria, Industrialist, Ms. Nirmala Fenn, Board Member WC Committee, Ms. Priya Hingorani, Sr. Advocate, Supreme Court of India and Ms. Karuna Shriram, Special educator and Vice President, Bansuri Charitable Society based on their contribution to society and women empowerment.

Ramesh Agarwal) Special Category: Ms. Menuka Poudel (Indian Idol Season 14) and for Junior Astitva Samman 2026 awards were given to Nemo AI project received by Abhigyan Nayak, Amity International School, Saket, Neer project by Team from Shiv Nadar School, Noida, FREAX project received by Annaya Gandhi & Kanav Jain, Bal Bharati School, Rohini and In Rhyme project by Sia Gupta, Modern School, Barakhamba.
The programme also featured a musical performance by Ms. Vidhi Sharma and troupe. The event was supported by DCM Shriram International and Kali Center for Legal Reforms & Research and was attended by former presidents, diplomats, industry leaders, educators, media, students and civil society members.
PHDFWF CRICKET LEAGUE 2026
The first match started by a toss between two teams by Shri Gopal Jiwarajka, Former President of PHDCCI. Mandi Centre won the toss and opted to bowl first. Shri Alok B Shriram, Former President, PHDCCI, Shri Viney Singhal from Rotary Club of Delhi Central, Ms. Anuradha Goel, Chairperson and Governing Body members of PHDFWF were present on this special occasion.
INAUGURATION OF N L MEHRA PRE-PRIMARY SCHOOL
The PHD Family Welfare Foundation is happy to inform that on 19th December 2025, PHDFWF, with the support of the Jaquar Foundation, inaugurated its first school, “NL Mehra Pre Primary School,” for Nursery and KG in Aya Nagar, Delhi, for the needy children.
The inauguration ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp by Ms Anuradha Goel, Chairperson, PHDFWF; Ms Disha Mehra and Ms Vidhi Malhotra from the Jaquar Group of Industries; Mr Shamsher Kanwar from the Jaquar Foundation; along with other senior members and secretariat from the Jaquar Foundation and PHDFWF.
In her welcome address, Ms Anuradha Goel expressed her gratitude to the Jaquar Foundation and the Mehra Family, with whom PHDFWF shares a long association. Ms. Goel shared that this new initiative marks the beginning of a larger vision, under which more such schools will be opened over the next two years. This school will provide a strong foundation in early education for young children and help them build character for life.
Mr. Shamsher Kanwar shared his thoughts on the importance of early childhood education as the strongest investment in a child’s future.
Ms. Disha Mehra spoke about the vision behind supporting the NL Mehra Pre Primary School and highlighted how access to quality early education can change life for children from underserved communities. Ms. Vidhi Malhotra acknowledged the dedication of the PHDFWF and shared her optimism that this initiative would not only provide education but also instil values, confidence and curiosity in children at a very young age.
PHDFWF ANNUAL FLAGSHIP PROGRAMME- HUNAR UNLIMITED ON ATMANIRBHAR BHARAT 2025 - 2026
PHD Family Welfare Foundation organised its annual flagship programme- Hunar Unlimited on Atmanirbhar Bharat on December 20, 2025 at the PHD House, New Delhi. The programme was inaugurated with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest Ms. Ruchika Chaudhary Govil, Chief Commissioner, Department of Income Tax, GOI along with Ms. Vidhi Sharma, renowned singer, Shri Shamsher Kanwar, CSR Head, Ms. Vidhi Mehra and Ms. Disha Mehra from Jaquar Foundation and Ms. Anuradha Goel, Chairperson, PHDFWF.
In her welcome address Ms. Anuradha Goel welcomed the guests and participants and highlighted the welfare initiatives undertaken by PHDFWF. Ms Goel said it was the 40th year of the Foundation and shared the meaningful programmes had been planned for the year. Ms. Ruchika Chaudhary Govil, Guest of honour appreciated the performances, talent, self-reliance and empowerment of beneficiaries done through PHDFWF.
On this occasion, an on the spot art competition was organised which was judged by renowned artist Ms. Nupur Kundu. An engaging quiz competition on Atmanirbhar Bharat further added to the enthusiasm. The programme enthralled more than 300 audience with the vibrant performances of music dance and drama by beneficiaries from PHDFWF skill development centers.
